The first paper was occasioned by an exchange on Facebook regarding a remark by Charles De Koninck describing architecture as a fine art in a paper of his I uploaded to the Charles De Koninck Project. But is it really so? While answering this question is not the focus of my compendium, enough relevant material is cited to establish what I take to be the correct answer to the question.
